A busca totalizou 919 artigos.

Abstract

Demonstrations in favor of psychiatric reform and the deinstitutionalization of the psychiatric hospital and the hospitalization regime have been occurring in Brazil for decades. The objective of this study is to present a systematic review of the scientific literature on psychiatric reform and the implementation of alternative forms of mental health treatment. The methodology used was the analysis of scientific articles published in full, 2003 to 2013, in three databases indexed to BVS-Psi: SciELO, LILACS and PEPSIC. The descriptors used were: Psychiatric reform and CAPS. Inclusion criteria were: scientific articles whose theme was the relationship between the Brazilian psychiatric reform and the new forms of treatment in mental health, especially the CAPS, without restriction of gender, age or sample group, in the Portuguese language. The search totaled 919 articles. 152 in Pepsic, 416 in SciELO and 351 in LILACS. The articles retrieved according to the inclusion criteria totaled 8 studies. According to the results, the psychiatric reform collaborated satisfactorily for the rehabilitation of people with mental disorders and the implementation of the CAPS contributed to the social reintegration of the patients. This advance in Brazilian mental health is still ongoing and seeks an integral and humanized approach, not restricted at medicine treatment and providing quality of life to the user. Through the analysis of the studies, it was possible to conclude that it is necessary to expand the Psychosocial Care Centers, so that there can be improvement in care, in the social reintegration of these patients and in the guarantee of rights.
